Dear Valued Donors,

We are writing with important information regarding our charitable status and the issuance of tax receipts for your generous donations. Unfortunately, due to an administrative filing error, the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) has revoked our charity's status as of September 16, 2023. This means that, effective as of the revocation date, we are no longer authorized to issue official donation receipts for income tax purposes.

We understand the importance of tax receipts to our donors, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this situation may cause. The revocation occurred because our charity did not meet the CRA's requirements for filing the annual information return on time. We accept full responsibility for this oversight and are committed to rectifying the situation as swiftly as possible.

Our team is actively working with the CRA to address the filing error and to take the necessary steps to reinstate our charitable status. We are in the process of submitting all required documentation to reinstate our charity status and ensuring that we will meet future filing requirements without fail. We are dedicated to resolving this issue and restoring our ability to issue tax receipts to you, our valued supporters.

During this period, we hope you will continue to support our mission. Your contributions are still vital to the work we do, and we assure you that every donation will continue to be used to further our cause and make a positive impact. While we cannot offer the tax advantage of donation receipts at this moment, we hope your commitment to our shared goals will encourage you to stand by us.

We are here to answer any questions you may have about this situation and will provide updates as we move through the reinstatement process. Your trust is important to us, and we are dedicated to maintaining transparency and open communication throughout this challenging time.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

Sincerely,

Jordana Velho
