Each year Tamitik Status of Women, with help from community businesses and personal donations, operates the Angel Tree program; an opportunity for low to moderate-income families to provide their children with a holiday gift, at no cost to them. Parents, guardians, or other caregivers/family members just need to fill out the application form, listing two gift ideas for each child (ages 0-17). No need to be specific - a simple concept, character or theme is all we’re looking for!
Applications typically open in November each year, with a due date around December 1st. Applications are available online (posted here and on our Facebook page!) or can be done in person/over the phone at the Tamitik Status of Women main office.
If you are interested in contributing to this program, we are accepting donations of toys, games, and activities for children and teens of all ages. Donations can be sent or brought to our main office, charitable tax receipts are available upon request. As applications come in, an Amazon wish list will be shared and updated with specific gifts to purchase. Any donations that are received after December 15th, are held for the next year’s Angel Tree program.
